Rob Leather joins MFA Girls ECNL Staff

In a press release Match Fit Academy stated:

Match Fit Academy Girls would like to take this opportunity to announce that we have added Robert Leather to our ECNL coaching staff for the 2017/18 season. Rob has worked in various roles, most notably as the Director of the Academy and Summer Select program at SDA (now SDFC). Rob moved from SDA to become the Director of Boys Coaching at Match Fit Academy in 2011, guiding the program during their successful time in the US Soccer Development Academy. Currently Rob teaches Health & Wellness and Biomechanics/Physiology at Montclair Kimberly Academy and is the Head Boys Varsity Coach.

Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our staff and will be a great addition to our program. In addition to his work as Head Coach of the boys U16 and U18 DA teams, Rob gained extensive experience in the college recruitment process. Director of Coaching Dom Bucci says, "Bringing in a coach of Rob's experience and caliber, coupled with his education background, is a great boost for our ECNL staff. Rob will help build upon the tremendous work we have done in the 5 years we have been in the ECNL. Rob also adds to the experience we have for the college process amongst all of our current staff."

Rob Leather states 'I am really excited to join the Girls ECNL staff at Match Fit Academy. I know from my time as the DOC on the boys side that Match Fit is committed to providing quality training and a pathway to college soccer. There are really good soccer people involved in the club. I have loved my time at SDFC, and the two teams I was fortunate enough to work with were an absolute pleasure to coach. This new role will allow me time in the fall to concentrate on my high school program at MKA, and also an opportunity to coach at the highest level with older players again.'
